Mayhem Festival 2010: Shoreline Amphitheater- Mountain View, CA

Myles to Midnight checked out Rockstar Energy's Mayhem Festival 2010 at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, CA... His coverage of the festival includes photos of Chimaira, Atreyu, Rob Zombie, and Korn. Also included are reviews and in-person interviews with Atreyu's vocalist/drummer Brandon Saller and Chimaira's lead guitarist Rob Arnold. Brandon Saller (singer/drummer) from Atreyu on Myles to Midnight 7/14 at 10 PM

10 PM 7/14 Myles aired an in-person interview with Atreyu singer/drummer Brandon Saller that he recorded while attending Rockstar Energy's Mayhem Festival at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, CA last weekend. In the interview they discussed Atreyu as the lone heavy band on a label owned by Disney, working with Ozzy Ozbourne producer Bob Marlette on their latest album, Atreyu's formula for success on singing vs. screaming, Brandon's softer solo material and without a doubt Brandon's favorite food. It will be podcasted soon.

Painful Courtney Love Concert (6/27/10)

According to the Washington Post's David Malitz:

"...this was an astonishingly awful performance that had few moments of redeeming musical value. Song titles, lyrics, guitar chords - Love remembered only some of them, and infrequently. Then again, what was really the best-case musical scenario? A competent recreation of songs more than a decade old, played by Love and her latest hired hands? Is that what people wanted to see - Courtney karaoke versions of '90s MTV buzz clips? Maybe. But probably not. Perhaps a bit more professionalism would have been nice but in 2010 you pay your $45 hoping for the Courtney Love Experience. And Sunday night was an experience like no other."
