Alt-rock-hip-hop greats Rehab return to the redwoods for two shows at Simon LeGree's and the Angelina Inn

It's easy to see that Rehab's Danny “Boone” Alexander is comfortable fronting a Southern-tinged alt-hip-hop band that represents the men and women working hard just to get by. It's been more than 13 years since the Georgia band released their breakthrough sophomore album “Southern Discomfort” which featured the hit “Sittin' At A Bar” and the collaboration “Storm Chaser” with Goodie Mob's Cee-Lo and Bigg Gipp. Read more. -Myles

Rehab will perform on Friday night for a 21-plus crowd at Simon Legree's in Hawkins Bar (5-10) and on Saturday night (5-11) for an 18-plus crowd at Fernbridge's Angelina Inn. In addition to opening sets from local blues-rocker Steph Johnson and electro-hip-hop-rock band BNMC, VIP upgrades are available for both shows (dinner/drinks/meet-n-greet/photo-op). Tickets are available at The Works, People's Records, Wildberries, Allure, SHC and online at diamondbackpresents.com. Tune in to win tickets on KSLG!

Don't Bring Your Cat To A Job Interview

According to USA Today, many recent "college grads lack interview skills. They take calls, text and sometimes bring their parents or pets to interviews." American Eagle's former recruiting director Mark Dillon says he was surprised when a college senior brought her cat into an interview. "It hit me like — why would you think that's OK?"

Not OK.

Les Claypool-esque one-man-band That 1 Guy to play HumBrews

With instruments that look like they came straight out of a Dr. Suess book and a sound that can draw comparisons to Les Claypool and our very own Mike Patton, Las Vegas based avant-garde rocker That 1 Guy will headline a show at HumBrews in Arcata on Tuesday, May 7. Tickets here...

Known for combining elements of electronic ambience, alt-rock, funked out basslines and psychedelic strangeness, the one-man-band has created quite an identity with an intriguing assortment of self-invented instruments.
