Dr. Syd Reagan

\Dr. Syd Reagan III (astonishingly not his real name) was born Joseph M. Butterworth on April 27th 1965 in Queens, NY.  An "Army Brat"..Syd relocated many times in his early years before his father retired from the Army in 1972, settling in Sierra Vista, AZ.  Here he attended grade school and Jr. High ....graduating from Tombstone (yep, same one) High School in 1983. While in High School..Syd decided his career interest was radio..and took an intern job at KTAN/Z-100 in Sierra Vista. In 1983 began attending University of Arizona in Tucson majoring in Broadcasting and working on the campus radio station...the name Syd Reagan was born here.

In 1987 Syd relocated to Humboldt County, a visit to his brother which ended up being permanent. As he had suspected..the competition for radio jobs here was much less than what he had experienced in Tucson.  Within weeks of relocating, began board operations and overnight DJing on KATA/KFMI..then located in Arcata.  Since then he has worked on KHSU (as Syd Reagan)...Power 96 (as JB Palmer) KXGO (as Joe McNeil) KHUM (as Big Joe B) and finally on KSLG since its inception on May 1, 2001.
